Default My paypal experience

I would like to share my thoughts on paypal with you.

About 95% of my transaction is via Paypal.

I have searched many Payment Gateway also. However, it seem that Paypal 's fee is the cheapest.

However, Paypal will protect the buyer more than the seller. If you are not in USA. Once the buyer complain in Paypal, it is very difficult to fix but refunding

Please be careful. Always to ship out the item with tracking number that Paypal accepted .

I agree, Paypal is the cheapest gateway out there with no up front investment. Plus, I think it's the easiest for buyers to use and since the seller never sees their credit card/account info they feel much safer.

I also agree that paypal is the most convenient. I think it is more widely used than other payment processors as it is used the most through e-bay. Also not being from the US, I have found through my own experience that it is the easiest and quickest way to fund through my bank account.

Ah, I almost forgot to mention the PayPal debit card! It's such a great tool for sellers and gives you instant access to your funds. Someone pays you, and you can go right to your ATM and take out the money instantly. Or use it as a credit card. I LOVE mine!

rowan, I have one of the Paypal debit cards too and I love it...when it works. I find that for one reason or another sometimes it will just deny approval, even if the money is in the account. Another lady I know has the same problem. It's very annoying.

I haven’t heard about these Paypal debit cards, it sounds interesting though.

How do you go about getting one? Where do you get it? Is it real or 'in the internet world'?

The paypal debit cards are mostly offered to US customers, although sometimes people in the UK have been able to get them.

They are physical cards - there is an ATM card too.

Got to say I have used PayPal for around 2 years now and still get confused when people talk about charges? I have never been charged paying for goods using PayPal and as long as I withdraw over £50 from my received amounts then I don't get charged. Am I just lucky?

If you have a personal paypal account, you can receive your payment without any fees. If you purchase a good using your account or sending money to others, you dont have to pay any fees. But, if you have a premium or business paypal accounts you have to pay a small fees but it is too low as compared to other payment processors such as stormpay or alertpay.

What sharebuilder says about the fees is correct. I'll just add that to receive credit card payments you have to have a business or premium account.

Also, some people who have a business account pass the paypal charge onto the customer. Perhaps, Wayne68, that is what people are talking about when they talk about a charge when paying for goods.
Generally, though, I have not been charged to pay for goods, and the fee for receiving payments on a business account seems pretty fair to me.
