Hey guys, just wanted to share some collection information with you guys. I wanted to see which method was better/user friendly, 2checkout.com and paypal. Here is what I found.
www.2checkout.com • $49 one time signup fee • $0.45 per Sale • 5.5% of Sale Amount • 30 Day money back guarantee • No application fees • No monthly fees • No statement fees • No leases • No SSL certificate to buy • No fees for ACH deposits to U.S. or participating Canadian bank accounts • Check Payment or Low Cost Wire to Non U.S. Bank Accounts • FREE shopping cart • FREE code for your web site • FREE on-line tech support • No waiting weeks (Getting started immediately) • No term contracts • No equipment or software needed • Easy to use plug-n-play code • Simple commission fee structure • International suppliers accepted • List products & services just about anything • Supports recurring billing • Works with existing shopping carts • Authomatic purchase order notification • State of the Art fraud detection • Great for simple or complex needs • Comprehensive account management tools • Robust shipping options Paypal Merchant Standard Pricing • No monthly fees • No setup fees • No cancellation fees Transaction Fees 1.9% to 2.9% + $0.30 USD Merchant Pro Pricing • $20.00 USD monthly fee No monthly fee until 10/31/2005 • No setup fees • No cancellation fees Transaction Fees 2.2% to 2.9% + $0.30 USDâ€* User Friendly: Who doesnt know how to use paypal, you put your info and your done. 2checkout.com is a little harder, go to buy a 2checkout.com item and right before you buy refresh, and your cart is doubled, visit the checkout again, and your order is doubled. People get so messed up when they order 4 $500 things when they meant to order one (happened to a business that got sued). Overall, Paypal is what I use, and you should to. |

I just wanted to share that ever since I've been working online I have been mainly using paypal. I've never had a problem with them. They are very easy to set up a bank account with to send and recieve money. I have sent and recieved money through them, and I've never had any problems doing either.
Once I did recieve what looked like an e-mail from them stating something was wrong with my account, it didn't look right so I e-mailed them right away and they investigated and corrected the problem right away. |

Hi guys
I am a newbie here, just joined today to check out if I can get any new information about my favourite topic: online business. As I was browsing the site, I came upon this thread of paypal vs 2checkout. I have had experience with both of them and I agree that paypal is the best. I have had several contracts through them and none was a problem. The payment procedure is quick and hassle-free. But it is not the same with 2checkout. As Jaydev said, each time you go back to the order page, the order is doubled. Luckily I was not in a rush that day and so, I went through the page before clicking the submit button. I was shocked to see the number of items doubled. Good gracious me! I made the corrections and the payment went through immediately. However, the deal was sanctioned immediately and I obtained my product instantly. But for the doubling mistake, 2checkout service was quite OK. |

I use paypal since i making money on the internet and i used 2check out aslo but for only 2 months. But from my experience, i thing paypal is better online payment method than 2check out.
Paypal has no monthly or other extra fees. Its very secure and they have SSL certificate to buy some thing. Many sites allowed it. 2checkout is bit harder to handle and we always confused when we use it. |

Thanks for the comparrison but I stopped looking when I saw set up fee. Why should we pay a set up fee? That is like a high street bank saying yes you can bank with us but you pay us first. If they are set up correctly they will make money from the interest of what is in their funds and are just showing greed charging set up fees!

Nice feature list. From experience PayPal works great, but something like 70% (sorry, I dont have the source anymore) of online purchases are with credit cards. Many people use paypal plus 2co (for credit cards). It seems to work very well.

Paypal and 2CO are the best payment processors but, some differences are there. Paypal personal, premium accounts has withdrawal limit around $2500 per month but there is no such limit with 2CO. 2CO is better than Paypal to accept credit card payments. My opinion is dont depend Paypal alone and have some other alternative to your payment transactions. The next bext alternative to Paypal is 2CO.

PayPal is perhaps the best of the two, but they can be ruthless if they don't like what you're doing - closing your account instantly ans stealing all your money. So you have to be very careful to follow their TOS.
