Default This is kinda funny

I had a customer email me, asking if she knew the name of the company that one of her old sales reps started, after quitting here. As if that was not bad enough of a question to ask. The sales rep in question, left with another sales rep, and they stole our entire database of customers. We ended up suing them for $80k and winning. I think it's pretty screwy that someone would ask about this person 3 years after they screwed us over. lol

I'm going to take a guess you didn't give her the name of the company.

No, then she responded back that she had the info somewhere and would just dig around for it. She has some balls to be asking a company for their competitors information.

People can say the most stupid things sometimes. One of our favorites is "Do you sell many hats?". Or the call where somebody says "I'm opening a hat store in X. Can I have the number of your suppliers?".

Hey, you can't blame people for trying. lol

Just kidding.

BTW, Joe, did the settlement over the database specify its return? Or at least prohibit the thieves from using it?

I'm not exactly sure. This was before my time here (about 7 years ago), and my grandfather went after the guy. They ended up settling for the amount. From the looks of it though, their company is doing pretty well. (http://www.gocnt.com
