Im a 16 year old Australian student and I am thinking of starting a small online business. Ive been reading alot about dropshipping and im planning to start an online business based around this. I plan to sell computer related stock with everything from hardware to software to manuals. Firstly i was wondering if anyone would know of some great sites that offer a great range of dropshipping companies and could link them (not an affiliate link). I am after companies that offer international dropshipping. I am limited in money (around $100 AU and i know this is enough to start small as i have found a small list of dropshippers and i know the price of the website). Also, unlikely, but i was wondering if there is anyone out there that would like to join me in my idea. It would be 50% takings each and i would most probably handle the site and selling and you would handle the marketing. All id ask is that you'd put in $100 like me.

Is that $100 Australian Dollars because no offence but that doesnt seem a lot. To English pounds that is £40 and to create and host a website PLUS find stock seems very ambitious, or is it just me!

Do dropshippers buy in bulk and are you going to create a site or just sell on a site like eBay.

Congrats on having biz ambitions at 16. I would not want to discourage you from your dreams, I say keep dreaming and do your research. The electronics biz will likely leave you very disappointed though. The competition is fierce and the market is price driven for the most part. Drop shipping will leave you at a serious disadvantage.

Stick around this forum. There are lots of other young people here, and a lot of wise business owners you can learn from. With good planning and patience (difficult at 16, I know), you can be successful in business. Don't let fear of failure stop you from trying, but try to improve your odds as best you can.

Think of something you love, look for a niche market you can serve, and that will provide a good foundation to build your business on.

It's great to see you have an ambition, but honestly, it's not too smart. At your age, what your trying to do seems a little over your head, especially for your budget.

There is a kid in Holland who is only 17 years old and is a multi millionaire because of some crazy website he came up with. Don't let anything stop your dreams. Go for it!
